HIGHLIGHT on Culture: From Zumba to Salsa with the Embassy of Colombia in Indonesia in Jakarta, after a successful Southeast Asian tour. Swing Latino, a dance academy that has been awarded nine times as the world champion in the Cabaret Group category at the world Salsa Festival in Cali and the gold medal for the paired category in the Sports Dance Competition at World Games Poland 2017, three couples will be tasked to shake Indonesia with the rhythm of salsa.
The Colombian Embassy in Indonesia is present, within its Plan for the Promotion of Colombia Abroad, six (6) dancers from Swing Latino Academy, founded and directed by Luis Eduardo Hernandez “El Mulato” (Named by the Foreign Ministry of Colombia as Ambassador of Salsa to the world).
During the Asian tour, and after traveling more than 90 countries, Indonesia can enjoy the best performance of Colombian-style salsa dance, through a show of coordination, joy and power with music that has its origins, among others, the rhythm of Cuba, jazz, guaracha, mambo, pachanga and rumba. The show takes place on Tuesday July 24th 2018 at Graha Bhakti Budaya Auditorium at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta Indonesia.
